Pilates

Do you have issues with your back, neck or hips?  Or do you simply wish to improve your core strength?  Maybe you just want to tone and shape your abdominals, butt and thighs!

PILATES pronounced (puh-lah-tez) is a series of movements that are low impact, relaxing and yet very effective when executed correctly.

PILATES will create lean toned muscles without bulk.  You'll develop your core strength and spinal mobility.

PILATES can correct posture and alignment, improve breathing, provide relief from back, neck and hip pain as well as release tension from the body and mind.

Who does PILATES?  Anyone from athletes to housewives, golfers to rowers, actors to dancers.  Many different age groups can benefit from PILATES, from youths to seniors.  There are an estimated 5 million people following the PILATES method.  Join the growing number and improve your posture, balance, strength and flexibility.  Not to mention enjoying the benefits of a toned and slimmer waistline.

 

 

Getting Started With Pilates

Each client will take 3 - 1 hour introductory classes prior to participating in any of the sign-in classes. This allows the instructor to take the client through each step carefully and precisely, giving full attention to detail with each client. This will help to prevent any possibility of injury, teaches the client to master their workout and allow classes to continue to flow uninterrupted as new clients begin. The introductory begins with the principles of Pilates and then the client learns to intregrate them with each exercise. This introductory may be done as a private or semi-private class.

Once the Introductory has been completed the client will go into the Foundations Level. As the client masters the Foundations Level he/she will then move accordingly into the next Level.

There is a Sign-in Book in the lobby for classes. You may either sign-in for your next class before you leave or call/email to book your next class time.
